About

Thanks for visiting. I’m in my 30s and based in North East England. I have a wealth of experience in IT Systems and Radio Broadcasting.

I have worked in broadcast radio since 2002 and am happy to advise stations if they consider my knowledge may be of use! I was part of the founding team of Community Radio station CR050 NE1fm 102.5 which earned a license in 2006 and launched in 2007. I was part of the management team at the station and even headed it up for a couple of years until I left the role in 2012 to explore new challenges.

In 2016 I joined UKRD as a Broadcast Systems Engineer and left that role in 2018 as commercial radio was being swallowed up by the big groups. I was also a freelance Broadcast Engineer for Nation Broadcasting from 2018 to 2020. Nowadays I just dabble in radio and tweet rubbish online while fixing stuff.

My blog contains almost anything and everything that interests me. It’s updated as often as relevant. Content usually differs from random thoughts to IT, tech, radio & random.
