Long Time

Ok… so it’s been a while since I updated this, stuff s been on – been busy socialising and meeting new folk. All good 🙂

Car had it’s MOT today, I went preparing to be stung, flew through with no problems 😀 so I’m happy.

Bowling tonight (again) – me, Dan and his wife. All good crack – I’ll sort the next range of Audi shizzle soonage!

Life Changing? pt2

Not much to report on ladies and chaps. Me, Dan and his lass were at the big fire in town the other night, took a load of pictures and shizzle. It was super warm, and gave us something to do and watch.

Apart from that, nothing much has been happening. Work is good, I’m starting to look for my new car as the Golf is going in a couple of months time, so if you have any ideas (must be diesel!) – drop me a line!

Busy day today, Sunderland till 6pm tonight then hot footing it back to Newcastle for a meeting with our radio lot – my cardigan is ready! – That’ll be it for now, I’ll stick something up later.

Life Changing?

Well a few things happened today which are good, I was asked to apply for a position I really wanted – it includes work all over the UK within the car company I work for, it also means I can get rid of my beast of a Golf!

Radio stuff has also been going, I forgot my cardigan tonight but still had a good laugh. I loved how Dan (a mate) stuck his girlfriend in an office on her own for 2 hours, poor lass. She was bored boobless! (Nice way to put it)

Other ‘shizzle has been happening too, heard back (eventually) from the doctors about my Liver – time to make an appointment and see what the crack is then, letter didn’t look good but I want to talk it through with him and get it sorted, hopefully get back to hospital and get it checked out.

They used loads of uBer massive words in it, but Google helped me understand!

Apart from that, I’m listening to Keane, they’re mint, love their stuff, and the Fray’s album is a great listen too – apart from that I’m still very much an Above & Beyond person (check their track out on my profile!)

I’m wrecked now, so I’m off to bed, up early, bath and off to work again for another super duper day!

NE1fm move & Boredom

So what things do you do when you can’t be arsed, or you have to move stuff but can’t be arsed? Lets say for example you have to move some tables, you’re sick of humping them up and down stairs – whats better then playing a game with them!?! Check out the videos on my page to see how bad we got!

Boy did we have fun with our destructive sides. Apart from that, long weekend coming – and how mint was the weather today! – Got a weekend of gardening planned (sad I know) but good for you – and it needs done!

Firstly, I reclaimed my bank charges! £500 spondoolies!

Anyway I’ve been super busy with things at work and stuff, I’m writing something too, I’ve wrote about 6 or 7 pages so far. It may turn out into a big book, it may not – time will tell, but no doubt no-one will ever read it as I wouldn’t have a clue how to try and get it published.
I had a busy weekend, cought up with loads of stuff on Saturday and spent about 10 hours with Hev & Andi moving the CBIT kit for NE1fm from Jesmond Vale to Shieldfield – it was a good laugh although more people to help would have been a great help. 3 people, 3 cars, and a good crack.

Sunday night saw the NE1 for a Gig event at the Cooperage, I’m still not feeling as I was so I did go but didn’t hang around – had a good laugh with Dan and his partner, she is very quiet! – We were thinking of ideas to return the Kanned Weekend (a hugely popular brekkie show we’ve done on a few RSL’s)

So – time to go hunt out a tie for my super crisp white shirt, I’m hungry this morning and had the best night sleep I’ve had in a while, namely down to my book and the content of it. I’ll update this again super duper soon, with pictures and videos of the laugh we had moving NE1 too!

Life Gets Better

You are correct, you detected a slight amount of sarcasm in today’s subject.

When you think about it, life can deal you some pretty big shit when it wants to.
It started for me in 2004 when I had the pleasure of working for one of the shittest places in the world, Clientlogic. For a pathetic hourly rate, I had the pleasure of working in a filthy, manky, shitty disease infected shared work environment. I caught some rather unsavoury things when I worked there, and it seriously messed me up.

Firstly, you are lured into working there as the tour and interview made it look like a great place to be, they are really flexible (bollocks) for students, and really a student friendly place to be (more bollocks) – I had the pleasure for a few months of reminding fuckwits what time their trains were, but what’s that? BT is better, their just over there (points) – they’re paid more, and it’s better. So I went for it.

This is the point I should have left the company. Instead I ended up being there for another 18 months.

BT brought me lots of things, constant illness, infections, unmeasurable stress, pressure, and then more illness. It seriously caused so much damage. The main reason behind it was the filthy bastards you had to work with, you didn’t have your own desk, you had to share and hot-seat. So you could be using a keyboard where someone had just been picking their arse and then typing. Facilities didn’t exist, there was no hot water, and no way to keep things clean – when I think back to that place, it was a fucking toxic hazard waste dump.

I racked up 10 instances of sick in less then 18 months at that dump. All on BT. On the 12th of August 2005 it all started – I had a bad day and was off, very soon, I was off again, on the 26th of September – this time for 4 days. Alarm bells should have been ringing there that this place was making me ill.

On the 18th of October 2005 I was off again, this time, was longer again. 22 days. Now you have to remember, I was at college too – and had no other income, this place was shafting me, and I was shafted – SSP is total bollocks. The 14th of November 2005, the place made me ill again.
Have you noticed when I go back, it isn’t long till I’m ill again?

I didn’t return then, till the 4th of December 2005. Not much short of a month. By this time, the Doctor was concerned, he’d took shedloads of blood, I’d had hospital scans and all-sorts, we couldn’t find what was causing it.

I was sick again, the 13th of January 2006. Followed up very soon, on the 20th of Febuary 2006. I was off for another 4 days, christ I was in pain! but again, I got better and returned to hell, you’d never guess, but I was back sick again on the 4th of April – this time I was fucked. I was off for a month. That was it, I was getting out. I returned and was off again for another day on the 23rd of May 2006 before ramming my notice up their arse and walking out.

I honestly believe Clientlogic is the cause of this, and the problems I’ve had since. I’ve had kidney infections, terrible stomach bother, and now I’ve found out my liver is fucked. I only wish I could put this down to them, I’d sue their arse off – but I can’t prove it. It’s all just very convenient.

Needless to say, I joined Reg Vardy after there, in 9-10 months, I’ve been off sick twice. One to the flu and I can’t remember the other, big fucking difference eh? But now I’m waiting to hear the results of the latest bother, I got the all clear on my Kidneys, but found out my Liver isn’t too good – is working in a shithole callcentre good for you? If you ask me certainly not!

Rant over, I hope you enjoyed reading this! I’m off to listen to the Fray a bit more, and reply to some emails I’ve been ignoring!

Sod All

Well, sod all to report on. Paid some bills, renewed my AA membership and sold a knitting machine on eBay – super belta eh?

I had a bit sort through my music collection, I was at over 12,500 but after reviewing it and removing a load of shite I’ll probably never play I am down to a respectable 10,331. The other 2100 or so are still there, but hidden 😀 meaning I can still search for shite should I wish to.
I got myself some new IT kit for NE1 FM too, some Cisco routers and shizzle – just need to start connectorising everything together and then we’ll be rocking.

Apart from that, job’s good, life’s good and I’m still working on stuff for NE1 FM. So, woo.

Mooooon

Boredom continued late last night during the moooooooooooon thingy, so I took some pictures with my McDigital camera – I really was bored!

Let me know what you think, I was quite pleased with them. (Takes anorak off)

Booooooooring

Christ today has been boring, had sweet bugger all to do. I paid lots of bills too! All £2.80 of my bill to BT, all £10.00 to Argos, and I broke the bank paying my credit card £40.00. – It’s been a tough ol’ day!

In all honesty though (not that the above is not honest) – I’ve done bugger all today. I was going to change the oil in my car, but I couldn’t be bothered. I did goto Halfords to look for a tool to make it a bit easier, but I couldn’t find one. So I broke the bank and bought some new windscreen wipers (I did need some!) – and that, my friends, is how exciting this weekend has been so far!

I nearly bought a Civic too, I came so close – but I’m going to put it off for 3 or 4 months and then have a crack at getting one – they are super cushty aren’t they?
That’s me for tonight then, off to do fook all again till bed-time…

Blackpool

Well what can you say, Blackpool is ornimentally shit in the winter, I came down for the weekend and christ it is boring as shite.

I’ve been off work since last Thursday, that would be the 15th to those who are not very good at going “Oh that would have been the 15th then – pretty long time ago!” – it has been amazingly shit and boring. Lots of Deal or No Deal (which quickly gets boring) & lots of Countdown, bed, being hot, and bed. I’ve been on more drugs then a season’d celeb lately and boy has it fcuked my eating up!

New Honda Civic

Well I went back to work today after 7-10 days off on the sick. Got back today and noticed a load of brand new Honda Civic’s outside reception – ohh was I impressed & I wanted a go. I’ve been thinking about getting one and luckily they were there for us to take out and have a shot of – what a car!

Being a dirty derv driver, I snubbed the 1.8 & 2.0 petrols and opted for the 2.2 diesel (there was a Type R there too but gay Honda insurance wouldn’t cover anyone under 25) – but I got my hands on a 3 door black 2.2 Type S.

What a car! – Got in and it was like being in a space ship! Everything was digital and there was buttons everywhere – brilliant. So after figuring out the push button start thingy-ma-jig I was off and let loose on the A19 – and whooosh – it was a fast begga. – Even Brian (my mate in the passenger seat) commented on the power, it was truely a lush car to drive and made me go 😀 – including the 3Dimensional digital display/speedo/rev counter thingy.

So, now to get saving for a new Civic! – Buy one, their ‘bo!

Big Issue!

So I found some old vouchers today when I was going through my stuff, £30 quids worth of them so I thought sod it, I’m off to spend em’. Sped off into town and parked next to Nobbie Solano, charming guy – he’s having a party at a place just beside For Your Eyes Only. He’s got a nice Merc, got to have cost a small fortune.

Anywhoo, I left for HMV and proceeded to collect my Big Bottom Box, there’s zillions of DVD’s inside of Bottom Live, and Bottoms’ Guest House Paradiso. As I left I noticed a Big Issue seller on Northumberland Street, he was really friendly and looked worn out and tired. I expected the usual “Big Issue” rammed in my face, but he said “Would you like to buy a Big Issue sir?” – I was quite taken by it, and felt sorry. So I bought one 🙂 – he then proceeded to say “Have a lovely night sir” – to which I was immensely impressed that he could still be so nice even in his situation.

The magazine just talked about detoxing and had millions of adverts – but I felt happy to have contributed and maybe to have bought him a burger or cup of tea for the night. I may do it a tad more often, I just thought I’d mention that, now I’m off to watch my Big Bottom Box!

Goodbye!

All over

Well there goes, a whole load of hype toward Christmas. Everyone saying what they want, it doesn’t have the same feel to it. Now it just means debt and trying to not be outdone. Everyone has expectations on what you’re getting them, wether it is too small, not expensive enough or something like that. I couldn’t give a monkeys – I’d be happy giving nowt and getting nowt!

In other news, I spent Christmas over and down in Blackpool. A grim dark place, freezing, stormy and crap. That was just the weather. Christmas day was good, had a good laugh with the family, got loads of socks and all the stuff you normally get – all good in my opinion. Christmas night some chav scum tried to break into the house while I was watching telly – put short work to him and let the Police do the rest. He was smashed off his face.

New Year is nearly here, I’m not doing anything – not wanting to go out and waste money on drink, I’ll stay in and get smashed on the Christmas alcohol I was given, might even do something entertaining. I applied for a Programme Directors job today also – not saying where but it is a big place, if I get it – I’ll let you know.

I also did some checking last night, I have an image on my website of Jesus on a cross, with Happy Christmas strewn between his arms – thousands of people are leeching it and putting it on their website. It’s time the Goatse replacement came out – I’ll be sure to replace it on the same filename and screenshot the unsuspecting websites!

Bloggety Blog

Time to update this again.

Lately I’ve been making bread, it rocks – the whole house smells of fresh cooked bread and it’s lovely. The plan is to set the timers properly so that I wake upto the smell of super fresh bread.

Bread makers rock!

Christmas prep is just about done, all has been super and I’ve again made everyone jelous with my super duper wrapping skills. I’ve even wrapped up some cheese (pics to come up soon!) – they really are done with loving bla bla.

I’ll be off to Blackpool on Sunday for Crimbo. Another 300 miles on my car when I get back – woo, the value will be plummeting! I bought the car with 48,000 miles and I’m already at 76,000. Well more close to 77,000. It does knock you sick a bit when you think of how much of your wages are burnt in the car!

Apart from that, all is going good. Work is good, I’m passed the probation now and I’m still there so I’m doing something right. I’ve been out tonight at Nikita’s 21st, t’was rocking but I came away early. Bad head, too much work and all that but I’m just chilling out now, just sorted more music out -it’ll be great to get it all loaded in when we kick up NE1fm.

I’ve got the pleasure of having a lie-in tomorrow morning! I’ve been doing IT cover work lately so it means I’ve had to be on the ball from 8am – it isn’t easy! Well, I’ll update this again tomorrow most likely, tis a good way to remember things – my memory has tanked recently!

Bills, Bills & More Bills!

It’s been a little while since I updated this.

Not much has happened…I’ve had my car crashed into at work – that is the most important thing on my mind at the moment. They’ve hit my front wing on my drivers side and dented and scratched it all in. The most annoying thing is that they have driven off and not admitted it. I’ll have to get it repaired after christmas!

Bills, yes – that’s the title of this post. I’m sick of bills! I’ve just paid BT £95 quid to get them off my back. I need to pay my credit card bill (I’ll just give them the minimum payment this month) – and I need to pay one of my other cards off. I’m skint as a bugger! – & it’s only the 8th! – but best be paid!

Work is good, there’s been some redundancy’s recently though which means we’ve lost all of the best lads on the Kerridge team (the whole team!) – their really hacked off which you can expect, but their laughing and joking about it and we feel bad because we’ve been kept on.

From what I understand, I’ll be playing a more important role in the enlarged group. We’ll have to see how things go, but it looks exciting!Back to work tomorrow at 9:30am – off in Friday though! Must go and see Borat soon too!

Banana’s & Stuff

Just a quick one tonight… did you know that putting Banana’s in the fridge makes them go black?

I didn’t – I do now.

Also, did you know Asda do bat shaped shortbread – which is amazing! And finally – did you know Asda also sell toffee crisp doughnuts!

My life is complete… in other news, I took the new Corsa out for a spin today to see if I like them. I was very impressed with the quality of them compared to the new one and had them look at a deal for me. Can’t go into specifics as it’s a staff deal, but I’d have my Golf paid off – have a shedload of stuff thrown in, get a load of stuff cheap – and save £3k. That’s all I’m saying! – Just need to order a new driving licence now – I’ve lost my old one.
